Audrey & Jacob’s intimate wedding in Tuscany at Borgo Stomennano
Some love stories unfold with unexpected turns, and Audrey and Jacob’s journey to their wedding in Tuscany was no exception. I first connected with them in 2022, when they entrusted me with the venue search in Tuscany. From afar, I carefully curated options, and together we selected the breathtaking Borgo Stomennano, a timeless wedding venue in Tuscany that promised intimacy, charm, and a truly Italian experience.
Originally, we planned for 2023. We even shared our first in-person visit to Borgo Stomennano that year, followed by a food tasting around Florence—a beautiful moment where I really got to know them, not just as clients, but as people. Unfortunately, life threw unexpected family challenges their way, and the celebration had to be postponed until 2024.
A Celebration of Presence and Love
When their wedding day finally arrived, Audrey and Jacob carried the weight of difficult circumstances in their hearts. But surrounded by just 30 of their closest loved ones, they found the strength to embrace the present moment. This intimate wedding in Tuscany became less about perfection and more about cherishing togetherness.
Audrey, with her love for spirituality, infused the day with thoughtful details designed to pamper their guests. Every place card was hand-made by her, adorned with colorful ribbons and glitter inspired by gemstones linked to each guest’s date of birth. Tiny bottles of flowers rested on top, serving as both décor and keepsakes. During the aperitif, guests discovered reading cards, playful temporary tattoos of the couple’s dogs, and the most original guest book I’ve seen—signatures on Audrey and Jacob’s white sneakers!
Elegant Simplicity in Design
For the reception, the couple chose a classical yet dramatic aesthetic—long tables dressed simply but beautifully with towering candelabras and countless glowing candles. With no flowers, the design relied entirely on light—flickering votives, chandeliers, and warm candlelight that filled Borgo Stomennano’s ancient spaces with intimacy and charm.
The atmosphere was cozy, elegant, and deeply personal. It reflected Audrey and Jacob’s decision to focus on experiences over aesthetics, allowing their guests to feel not just welcomed, but truly celebrated.
A Farewell to Remember
In true Italian style, the wedding festivities didn’t end on the wedding day. Audrey and Jacob treated their guests to a farewell cooking class in Tuscany—a hands-on experience that let everyone connect through food, laughter, and shared memories. It was a final touch that embodied the couple’s generous spirit and their desire to create meaningful moments for the people they love most.
As a wedding planner in Tuscany, I’ll always remember Audrey and Jacob’s celebration as a reminder that weddings aren’t about grandeur alone—they’re about creating spaces where love, family, and presence take center stage. Borgo Stomennano was the perfect backdrop, a wedding venue in Tuscany that embraced their vision of intimacy and authenticity.
This wedding will stay forever in my heart—a testament that even through life’s challenges, love always finds its way to shine.
A Wedding Flow Embracing the Outdoors
Thanks to the perfect September weather, we were able to celebrate every moment outside, making the most of Borgo Stomennano’s stunning spaces. The day began with a symbolic ceremony in the garden, overlooking the Tuscan landscape, bathed in soft, cozy light. Guests then moved to the front of the villa for the aperitif, where food and drinks were arranged indoors to stay fresh, while seating and tables were set outdoors so everyone could enjoy the ambiance. For dinner, we revealed a breathtaking setup behind the villa under the trees, with one long circular table designed to follow the natural shape of the hedges. Elegant chandeliers added a dramatic touch, making the reveal unforgettable. Finally, the celebration transitioned to the poolside for the cake cutting and dancing, where disco lighting transformed the darkness into an electrifying party scene.
A Thoughtful Budget for an Intimate Celebration
Audrey and Jacob allocated a budget of €30,000 for their two-day wedding experience in Tuscany, carefully balancing guest comfort with meaningful details. The largest share was dedicated to catering—from their pizza party welcome night to the wedding menu, open bar, and late-night bites—totaling around €14,000
Other important investments included photography (€2,550), floral décor (€2,000), a professional DJ (€1,600), and lighting packages (€1,954) to enhance the atmosphere.
Their venue, Borgo Stomennano, also offered accommodation for 38 guests onsite, with friends and family contributing toward their own stay. This smart allocation shows that with thoughtful planning, even an intimate wedding in Tuscany can feel luxurious and unforgettable while staying true to budget priorities.
